Its more of a I-shoot-a-glock bulge (g19 gen4) Its as if my resizing die isnt reaching down fully and resizing the base of the case. Its not an over pressure bulge or anything nuts like that. If the weather ever cooperates when I make it to the range I'll chrono these through the Banshee as the "crack" was surprising. 9mm bulge at base Just trying to figure out what my best bet for resizing 9mm with a slight bulge at the base is. The brands of 9mm brass I have cross sectioned and measured have a case web thickness of 0.160'. they do appear to be bulged, but thats just how a tapered case ends up appearing after reloaded. Yup, that exactly what Lee told me and it works. Runs fine with any and all lighter ammo but I tried my subs (150 gr with 3.2 grains 231) and everyone of them came out with the almost exact same bulge all the way around just like the pic in SBR7's post. What you need to order along with this kit is a Lee 9mm Makarov factory crimp die. Roll-sized brass eliminates bulged cases to ensure consistency and reliability. Brass with bulged bases is often referred to as 'Glocked' brass, in honor of the poster child of loose, unsupported chambers. Was thinking the locked/delayed (It's somehow both and neither) system would be ideal for suppressor use. Each batch is manually inspected for defects such as cracks and heavy dents. LEE now offers a 'bulge buster' kit for 9mm as well which requires the purchase of the larger diameter 9mm Makarov sizing die. When my new resizing die arrives, this will have been helpful. Then earlier this year I purchased a CMMG Banshee w/5"(?) barrel. You might try a different manufacturer's sizing/decapping die to get rid of the 9MM bulge as Dillon is the only one who has the radius on the die. Similar to Dryflash I have fired thousands of 9mm from my four colt pattern (blowback) AR's and more than a few from my Beretta Storm and whether factory, cast, powder coated, full speed or subsonic never had anything like that.
